What are recommended class for beginners and first time to practice Yoga?

Hatha Yoga is a good class to start with. It's a combination of breathing exercises with your body in one motion. Pace is not fast neither so slow. From here you can either explore active class or gentle classes.

What are active classes?

Active classes like Power Yoga, Hot Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga are for stretching your muscles, toning the body, and variation of poses to enhance flexibility and gain better strength. Intermediate, advance and regular yogis well benefit and enjoys this classes.

What are gentle classes? 

Gentle classes like Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga are for stress relief, releasing muscle tensions in a relaxing paced sequences. This is perfect after long day at work or just stressed.

What are other options?

We have open level classes like Yogalates, Kundalini Yoga for more class variations. We also have cardio classes like belly dancing and Zumba to sweat, burn some calories with fun!

The best way to know what type of Yoga practice perfect for you is give all the classes a try. Every yogi is unique and special, so as their preferred practice. Not all classes, as well as the Studio and the teachers, are perfect but experiencing them all is the best way to see for yourself which practice resonates with you and established your mindful journey from there.

How long are the classes? 

Yoga classes is regularly 60 minutes. Only Kundalini Yoga runs for 90 minutes. 

Cardio and meditation classes is also 1 hour session.

To attend the class, do I need to become a member? 

Yes. Membership is free. The registration form is for us to know you better. About your age, any medical concerns, whom to contact to in case of emergencies and the like. We gather these information to know how we can help you best.

To attend the class, must I have a package?

As much as possible, we would like to have our relationship with you as flexible as much as possible. You can attend for 1 (one) class only or become regular attendee by getting package. Package is optional and a lot affordable, practical and sensible.

What are your packages?

You have options for regular package of classes or unlimited memberships. 

  • Regular package of classes is good for those who frequently do short trips/travel or do have a hectic schedule at work and is possible to practice at least once a week only. The pre-purchased classes can be consumed any day and time long as its within the validity period. Packages starts at 5 classes then 10, 20 and 40.
  • Unlimited memberships is great for those who practice 2-3 or more times in a week. The memberships can be either 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or full year.

To what classes the package is applicable?

Any classes mentioned on the schedule page is part of your package. And yes. You can mixed your choice of classes. Be it Yoga, Gong Meditation, Belly Dance and/or Zumba. Classes can be found on the schedule page or https://ecoyogasanctuary.com/schedule.

How to book for a class?

You can book classes on our website. First you'll have to log in with your username and password on this page: https://ecoyogasanctuary.com/login

Go back to schedule page and click booking button. It will show you the class details like: Class name, class level, yogi master, class date and time schedule and class description. If you happen to have 2 packages at the same time, you can choose which of your package for that certain class.

Click submit to attend the class after confirming the class details.

The page will say "Happiness overload" with summary of booked class once it's successfully done.

You will also received a confirmation email of booked class.

What's on my online dashboard?

On your dashboard, you can see and access your classes history, packages history, order history, account settings and Profile. 

  • Classes history will show you your current active package and booked classes. 
  • Packages history will show you your the package your purchased, start date, end date, remaining classes and actions taken. 
  • Order history will show your date of transaction, transaction ID, payment details, amount paid and actions taken.
  • Account settings is the tab where you may edit your log in details: full name, password and email address. 
  • Profile tab is where you will find the details you used upon signing up: name, email ID, date of birth, contact number, pregnant or not, contact detail in case of emergency and origin of country. On this page it can also be updated.

Why do I need to pre-book class? 

Here are the significant reasons why we encourage all to book in advance:

  • First, it's for yourself. Booking is committing. And showing up on your commitments is a good practice for self discipline. Yes Yoga will teach you that. After all, Yoga is a philosophy. A life practice. 
  • Again, it's for your benefit. To be notified for sudden changes. It can be change of teacher, adjustment of class time and the like.
  • To give EYS Staff and the class teacher a preview of the class group size, that they may prepare accordingly, the class, the studio and other small details. 
  • That and more.

How to cancel a booked class? 

Log in once again on the https://ecoyogasanctuary.com/login page. On the your dashboard, go to classes history. You'll see here the classes you have booked and attended. 

On the action column, you'll find the CANCEL button. 

Confirm to cancel by clicking OK on the pop out box.

You will also received a confirmation email of cancelled class.

Remember, make sure to cancel a class 12 hours before the class schedule for a free cancellation. Late cancellation will result to deduction from your package.

What should I wear? 

For Yoga classes, a sports attire is good! Legging paired with choice of top. Investing on sports brassier is additional comfort for bending, stretching and relaxing during the class.  

For Kundalini Yoga, wear something light (like all white but not really mandatory) and really comfortable for dynamic movements. Harem pants is usually what teachers wear for certain poses. 

Expect you go barefoot in all classes of Yoga, meditation and Belly Dancing.

It's recommended to wear a clean dance shoes when attending Zumba.

What about food? 

Come with a light stomach to have a better practice. Have your heave meals at least 2-3 hours before the class. 

Stay hydrated. Daily we prepare refreshments, water with mint and lemon and ginger tea, for all of you. (Except on Ramadan)

What else should I know before my first class in Eco Yoga Sanctuary? 

  • Know that we have waiting area, changing rooms, lockers, shower rooms, washroom, amenities you can use before and after the class.
  • We have mini library where you can borrow books and read if you wish to read before and after the class. 
  • The Village Mall have basement parking and we validate parking tickets. Bring your parking ticket with you to have 3 hours free parking. Overstaying and loosing the parking tickets do calls for penalty.
  • If you wish to bring your personal Yoga Mats and towels, you are most welcome to do so. Inside the main studio is we also have equipments ready for the practise. Like Yoga mat, bolsters, blanket, straps, blocks, towels and the like. 
  • Most importantly, arrive early. Give allowance time for finding the parking, changing of clothes and taking a piss. For better results, be ready on your mat 2-5 minutes before the class starts. Ground yourself and make your mind ready for a complete hour or so Yoga practice.
