Claire 

I was first introduced to yoga back in 2000 and was hooked after the first few classes. I started feeling a deep sense of joy and peace. My body felt lengthened, my muscles relaxed, my mind alert; I felt peaceful.

My goal as a teacher is that my students discover yoga as a means to improve their health but also as a path to inner joy and self fulfillment because yoga is a journey of self-discovery. I believe that yoga is something which the practitioner should hold very dear, it teaches us so much about the whole picture. Both universal and individual. It is a wonderful journey of discovery one which we choose to uncover with our practice, we learn how to grow spiritually, mentally and physically. Yoga is indeed a joining, of all that is external to all that is internal, of all that is individual to all that is universal.

Brief Description About Vinyasa Flow and Yoga Ecstatic Dance:

Vinyasa Flow - The word “vinyasa” means aligning breath with movement. Whenever we lengthen the breath in yoga, we step closer towards serenity. During this vinyasa class, we will strengthen and tone the whole body. We’ll work through backbends, side body exercises, deep twists and forward folds with the intention to awaken and nourish the whole body. The class ends with a 10 minute guided meditation to allow the body to reap the benefits of the practice in a state of relaxation. Modifications are also given to make this class accessible to all levels while learning multiple alignment techniques for every stage of each pose.

Teacher's Info

- Martina Meenakshi Argada is a certificated Yoga teacher by Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram  and plus she is also a professional classical Indian dancer. 

Martina is a graduate in Oriental Studies (specialization in Arabic) from “La Sapienza” University in Rome. Her thesis was entitled: “Continuity and change in the musical tradition of North India and Pakistan. The Pakistani Sufi singer ‘Abida Parveen.”

She lived in Beirut for three years, where she taught Yoga and Classical Indian dance at the Indian Embassy.

She is also certificated Yoga teacher from Sivananda Yoga Vedanta ashram. She spent few months in Meenakshi ashram in Madurai (Feb-March 2016) as part of the staff. Then she taught at Sivananda Yoga vedanta center in Chennay from Dec. 2016 till May 2017.

 

Sivananda Yoga 

The underlying purpose of all practices of yoga is to reunite the individual soul with the Absolute or pure consciousness. Union with this unchanging reality liberates us from all sense of separation and allows us to realise our true nature. 

Following the teaching lineage of his guru Swami Sivanandaand by closely observing the lifestyle and needs of modern society, Swami Vishnudevanandasynthesised the ancient wisdom of yoga into five principles or points that could be easily incorporated into daily life; Exercise (asana), Breathing (pranayama),  Relaxation (savasan), Diet (vegetarian) and Positive Thinking (vedanta) & Meditation (raja yoga). 

Without diverging from the time-honoured teachings of classical, traditional yoga based on the four paths of yoga(karma, raja, bhakti and jnana) he recommended the regular practice of the Five Pointsfor optimal physical and mental health as well as spiritual growth. These five principles based on the four paths of yoga are the foundation of the teachings at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centresworldwide.


Vipassana Meditation, is one one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal remedy for universal ills.You will learn practical skills and tools for gaining self awareness which help you to promote integral health, to restore balance (decreased anxiety, depression, stress and negative emotions increasing positive emotions), become more peaceful and connect with the Divine.

I am Alessia D’Amelia teacher and yoga practitioner since 2011 when, following a spinal fracture, I chose to listen and discover my body through this millenary discipline.

This is how the magnificent journey began within the envelope that was granted to me in this earthly existence.

The practice, solitary or in a group, tiring and enriching, curious and unsettling has become the instrument by which I have probed the depths of my being, re-coding and re-harmonizing, with each sign that surfaced, my entire existence.

So in 2015, after sporadic seminars and lectures, I started attending the "IL CENTRO" Yoga School where I obtained my diploma for teaching Hatha Yoga in 2018 (Higher Yoga Course - 330 hours).

Between 2017 and 2018 I obtained the ACSI-CONI diploma of 1st and 2nd level Gymnastics and Yoga Teacher with A.s.d. Bodylab of Terni.

At the same time, my journey continued between Haha Yoga, Chi Kung and meditation and Reiki (1st level USUI REIKI OF NATURAL HEALING with Master Reiki Lorella Viali 2017), getting to know the variegated universe of Eastern philosophies.

2017 Yoga in pregnancy: Anatomy Stage for Yoga - Vertebral Mobility and Yoga, at CG Formation ‘’Anatomie pour le Mouvement’’

2018 Yoga for Children: "Motricity, body and play" stage of the Italian Cemea Federation 2015, Crystal Yoga of the Children by Loretta Bugatti 2017 and Tara Yoga by Vanessa Massarelli 2018.

I currently collaborate with the AJ.S. ‘’ Yoga Con Te’’, I conduct group lessons at the ‘’Con le ali ai piedi” and I give individual and personalized lessons for individuals or small groups in the city of Rieti, a natural oasis of beauty, culture and spirituality.
